Uppfæra körfuboltavelli á Klambratúni og við Austurbæjarskóla með geggjuðu undirlagi (mjúkar plötur) og jafnvel nýjum körfum. Í dag eru malbikuð plön með körfum. Mikil spenna hjá körfuboltaunnendum hverfisins að fá undirlagið bætt. Má sjá nýleg frábær dæmi um uppfærslur við Varmárskóla í Mosfellsbæ og á Akureyri.
