Kjalarnes is the least populated neighborhood in Reykjavík, but at the same time the largest, as Esjan herself is on Kjalarnes. But although the inhabitants are few, they are dynamic as there is a long tradition of various kinds of social life in Kjalarnes. The people of Kjalarnes choose to live on the border between the countryside and the city, and get closeness to nature and a lot of space for everyone.
